I'm a freelance writer, editor and photojournalist, based in Sydney/Eora, Australia.
I happily tackle a wide range of written formats, from interview-led, well-researched journalistic features, to ghost-written opinion pieces and speeches, to reports, case studies and book reviews.
The topics I cover are varied, and I love nothing more than getting deep into an issue to bring it alive in a way that does it justice.
I've worked with words for a long time, having joined the communication profession fresh out of uni in the mid-1990s and in more recent years, expanding into journalism.

While you're here, a bit more about me.
My professional teeth were cut as a corporate affairs consultant in a job that saw me work for big clients across multiple sectors in Australia before moving to the UK and advising clients across Europe. After returning to Sydney in 2001, I spent eight years in an in-house corporate communication role in blue chip financial services company Insurance Australia Group, followed by almost 10 years with Westpac from 2013.
At Westpac, I helped create the bank's unique news site Westpac Wire. initially as deputy editor before leading the publication team. As Wire's lead journalist, I covered a wide range of topics from banking trends to social sector news, along with penning opinion pieces, and interviewing the bank's most senior executives and board members for video stories, podcasts and features. I also shot many of the photos to bring stories to life.
All of this experience means I've learnt a lot about what makes a good story, along with how corporates work and how communication can best work for them.
If you'd like to know more about how I might work with you, drop me a line.
